Bereavement Volunteers

Trained Hospice volunteers offer Bereavement services (phone calls, letters, and companionship) to assist a client’s family and caregivers in coping with grief experienced after a client’s death. Referrals are made to professional agencies when appropriate.


Spiritual Support

Provided to individuals in the Kodiak Community. Participants receive a monthly letter of encouragement containing educational information about the grieving process. This is a thirteen month program.


Support Groups

Support Groups are provided to individuals in the Kodiak community. Groups are open to those suffering loss and experiencing grief of a loved one. Support Groups are offered periodically throughout the year.

The Hope Through Healing bereavement mailing series is designed to reach out to those in mourning. Mailings are sent out at intended intervals, over a thirteen month time span.


Community Education and Crisis Support

Community education and support is provided to members of the community when a need arises. Education and support may include support groups, education, crisis support, and working with schools or businesses impacted by loss.


Community Memorial Service

The Community Memorial Service is an opportunity to support each other and remember those who have died. For information regarding Community Memorial Service click here
